Cleaning your Pilates equipment & sanitising your studio
Clearly sanitisation of both people’s hands and the Pilates equipment they use is the key to stop the spread of CoVid in Pilates Studios. The issue is how can this be done quickly and effectively in a Studio setting in a way that gives customers confidence and does not damage equipment, individuals or the environment and finally can be done with something that is available to buy NOW!
Many cleaning products contain alcohol and other harsh chemicals that can damage your equipment, particularly the upholstery and yet they may not even be that effective at killing CoVid. At Align-Pilates we are not chemists or scientist, but we have done some research which may help you find the right solution to sanitise your studio and equipment and give your customers confidence.
Disinfecting equipment and sanitising hands – in these times, the number 1 thing is disinfection and what is required:
- A highly effective antiviral, antibacterial disinfectant
- Safe, quick and easy to use, readily available and affordable
- Should be as kind as possibly to equipment and so should ideally be alcohol, bleach, peroxide and chemical free and of neutral pH
- Environmentally friendly and ideally biodegradable
That is why we would recommend NatraSan! You can safely and quickly disinfect your Studio Apparatus and Hands with this multi award winning eco-friendly solution, which is extensively used by the UK’s largest independent health provider for disinfection of all parts of their hospitals.
- Fast to use and effective – kills 99.9999% of harmful germs on contact
- Convenient – one product for use on hands, skin and hard surfaces
- Skin friendly – dermatologically tested
- Environmentally sound
- Fully tested
We have a range of NatraSan available in various sizes here!
What NOT to use: Avoid using chlorine, bleach (sodium hypochlorite), alcohol, tea tree and almost all household disinfectants as these will likely damage your equipment.
Dave from Align-Pilates shows you how to disinfect your Pilates reformer effectively on our Videos Playlist – Reopening In A COVID World. If you haven’t read it already you may find our booklet on Tools to Help You Reopen Your Studio useful here.
