Leg Circles – Feet In Straps Pilates Reformer
Want to practice your leg circles on your Align-Pilates reformer using feet in straps? Follow along with this video by Align-Pilates X Mbodies to build up your confidence on the reformer whether you are teaching or for your own practice. For spring tension and footbar height as well as technique, please refer to slide before each exercise below. Great for reformer beginners to learn the basics & technique.
Leg Circles challenge the core abdominals, hip flexors as well as front and back of thighs (hamstrings & glutes) and then the adductor muscles to keep the legs together. Because we are circling rather than lifting up and down, the the exercise takes the legs outside the body’s centre of gravity and so challenges control of the pelvis as well as coordination and movement (motor control).
